Years ago we wondered what we could do to help with the challenges that the honeybee population faces. In 2017 I purchased my first hive in South Carolina while working in the area. When work in the area ended I took the hive to my sister's home in North Carolina. The next year I partnered with friends to learn more about beekeeping and kept a new hive at their house. In the fall of 2019 another bee friendly friend let me place a hive at his house. Mistakes were made and I lost the bees in late February of 2020. I learned a lot and in Spring of 2020 I took the position of "go big or go home" and worked my way up to nine colonies.

It was time to head home so I opened up the smoker to allow it to burn out.
